13 - 11:37am Garfield Ridge Trail
After skirting the river for a while longer the trail makes a fairly steep climb up to the Garfield Ridge Trail.
By around 11am the snow had softened up enough for me to have to don snowshoes. The MSR Lightning Ascents with the climbing bar (Televator) makes the climb much easier.
