Firecairn Ledge, Mt Tom Western MA
A great, short snowshoe trip up to the Firecairn Ledge (my name for it) on the side of Mt Tom near Holyoke Massachusetts. The big storm of the night before had dumped about a foot of dry powder on us and was just too good an opportunity to pass up.

There was quite a breeze blowing but the South East side of the mountina was pretty sheltered. Temps started out in the low twenties and got down to the mid teens by the time we got back to the car.

Good to be out in the woods with the warm sun, crisp clean air and fresh snow.
