We decided to do the loop going up the Metacomet-Monadnock trail to Mt Norwottuck summit then down to the Horse Caves and back via the Robert Frost trail. A hike of a little over three miles.

Not a marathon trek for sure, but the weather was absolutely fantastic with a slight breeze and temps in the high 50's. A good little workout hike and a few more miles breaking in my new boots for winter. I decided this would also be a good snowshoe practice loop. Mostly easy going trail with a few steep sections and a handful of short but tricky rocky areas. All we need for that now is the snow!
