Bash Bish Falls
Was it really only last week we were up in the White Mountains? It seems so long ago. There were so many things to do this weekend. Got to be Sunday and no firm plans for a hike. Then everyone else had other things to do and I was left to my own devices. Hmmm - where to go?

Didn't know how the legs would fare after last weeks long day so I decided to check out Bash Bish falls. The falls are in the Bash Bish Falls State Forest which abuts the Taconic State Park being right on the border of Massachusetts and New York States. The guide book says less than a 1/2 mile from the upper parking lot to the falls... I think I can manage this.

After leaving the Mass Pike at Lee there are many miles of backroads to get to the falls. The latter part driving through the Mount Washington State Forest. There seems to be a town of Mount Washington - but no actual Mount Washington, at least none I could find on the map.

After several 'dry' waterfall hikes this summer I wondered what I would find. Would there be water?
